Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court has been working since 2001. On 16 June 2005 it was registered with the Arbitrage Register of the Republic of Latvia under the registration number 50003750711. Arbitrators at Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court are sworn lawyers and lawyers.

Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court is an independent, non-governmental institution working on permanent basis and entitled to settle civil disputes between legal and natural persons, irrespective of the fact if they reside in Latvia or abroad.

Disputes at Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court are settled according to its Rules of Procedure and in line with provisions contained in Latvian Arbitration courts Law. Any civil dispute may be referred for resolution to Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court, with the exception of a dispute which is subject to an exclusive jurisdiction of national courts, as provided for in Section 5 of the Latvian Arbitration courts Law, and if the parties have concluded a written agreement on handing over of the dispute for resolution at Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court.

A claim at Kurzeme Regional Arbitration Court shall be raised in line with its Rules of Procedure.
